Jose and Sthefany first met in 2016. There was definitely a spark — they flirted, liked each other, and felt a connection — but deep down, they knew it wasn’t the right time for them just yet.

Fast forward to 2020, when Jose decided to casually message Sthefany and invite her to dinner. Sthefany thought it was just a friendly outing… Jose, however, knew it was a date. What followed made for quite the memorable (and slightly awkward) evening: after dinner, Jose asked Sthefany to join him in singing happy birthday to his sister. What he forgot to mention was that this was a full-on family birthday party — his entire family was there! Sthefany still calls this her most awkward date ever.

And yet, despite the awkward start, Jose kept showing up. Even when the world shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, he found ways to spend time with Sthefany, making sure she felt cared for and never alone. It wasn’t until April 28th — Sthefany’s birthday — that everything truly changed. With nowhere to celebrate since everything was closed, the two spent the day simply driving around together. Somewhere between the laughter, long conversations, and quiet moments in the car, they both realized what their hearts had been telling them all along: they liked each other. From that night on, their story truly began — and the rest is history.

Since then, Jose and Sthefany have filled their days with adventure and love — traveling, bike riding, and building a life together. On August 23rd, in the most magical place of all, Switzerland, Jose asked Sthefany to marry him, and she said yes. Their home soon became even fuller with two playful pups, Loki and Sylvie, and later, their greatest joy of all — their beautiful daughter, Sofia.

Now, surrounded by love, laughter, and their little family, Jose and Sthefany can’t wait for the next chapter of their forever story.
