FAQs
What is the dress code?
Our dress code is black-tie. We want everyone to enjoy the charm of Medellín, so we suggest that men wear formal suits, and women opt for long, colorful dresses that reflect the joy and spring–summer feel of the city.
Since the weather is generally warm, we recommend choosing light, breathable fabrics so you can feel comfortable throughout the celebration.
What time should I arrive?
Our celebration begins at 4:00 p.m. We hope you arrive on time so you don’t miss any of the important moments of this special day!
Where will the wedding take place?
All pre-wedding activities, as well as the ceremony and reception, will be held in Medellín, Colombia.
What happens if I don’t confirm my attendance on time?
We kindly ask all guests to confirm their attendance by March 15, 2026. Since this is a destination wedding, we need a final guest count to ensure smooth and stress-free planning. Unfortunately, if you do not confirm your attendance on time, we will not be able to accommodate you. Thank you for your understanding.
Can I bring a guest to the wedding?
If you have a plus-one, it will be indicated on your invitation. Otherwise, we are unable to accommodate additional guests. Thank you for your understanding.
Are children welcome?
To ensure everyone can fully enjoy the celebration, our wedding will be an adults-only event. We appreciate your understanding.
What is the local currency, and should I exchange money before arriving?
Local currency: The Colombian peso (COP) is the official currency.
Currency exchange tips: While it can be helpful to exchange a small amount of money before your trip, you will find currency exchange services readily available at the airport or through your local bank. The area where we will be staying also accepts major credit and debit cards.
What will the weather be like in Medellín, Colombia?
Medellín is known as the “City of Eternal Spring” thanks to its pleasant temperatures year-round. In June, you can expect daytime temperatures around 26°C (78°F) and nighttime temperatures around 18°C (64°F). However, there is a high chance of cloudiness and occasional rain.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing for warm weather, but also being prepared for light showers. Our venue will offer proper accommodations to ensure a beautiful and enjoyable celebration—rain or shine!
Are there any tips or gratuities guests should keep in mind?
Yes, most restaurants will ask if you would like to include the standard 10% tip. You may decline this option and leave a different amount if you prefer, but it is customary to leave a gratuity of around 10%.
